We vertellen je precies waar je sieraden van zijn gemaakt. Geen vage aanduiding als ‘goudkleurig’, geen mysterieus messing onder een gouden afwerking en geen vergulde kortere weg die echte techniek vervangt. Elk sieraad uit de Statement-collectie is gebaseerd op één materiaalspecificatie, helder omschreven.
316L chirurgisch roestvrij staal met 18K goud-PVD: De kern bestaat uit 316L-chirurgisch staal, dezelfde kwaliteit die voor medische implantaten wordt gebruikt. Nikkel zit opgesloten in het staalrooster in plaats van los op het oppervlak te liggen. Daarom is het veilig voor de gevoelige huid. Over deze kern wordt 18K goud aangebracht via Physical Vapor Deposition, een proces waarbij het goud zich op moleculair niveau hecht in plaats van erop te liggen, zoals bij standaard galvaniseren. Dankzij deze hechting zijn deze sieraden waterbestendig, zweetbestendig en bestand tegen aanslag bij dagelijks dragen.
De stenen, eerlijk benoemd
Gekweekte zoetwaterparels: Echte parels, gekweekt in zoetwatermosselen. Elke parel heeft subtiele variaties in vorm en glans, omdat hij is gegroeid en niet is vervaardigd.
Natuurlijk parelmoer: Echt schelpmateriaal, gesneden en gepolijst. De irisatie verandert wanneer het licht beweegt, omdat het een natuurlijk materiaal is en geen gedrukt effect.
A5-kubisch zirkonia: Een gesimuleerde diamant, en zo noemen we hem ook. Hoogwaardige CZ, geslepen voor maximale schittering. Het is geen natuurlijke diamant en we zullen nooit anders suggereren.
Opvallende sieraden zouden geen compromis moeten vereisen over wat ze daadwerkelijk zijn.
De statement-sieradencollectie
Statement-sieraden hebben een imagoprobleem. Het opvallende sieraad waar je zo dol op was, kleurt je hals binnen een maand groen. De grove schakelketting die er online stevig uitzag, arriveert licht en plasticachtig. De choker die perfect leek, zit te strak, is te zwaar of moet af voordat je je handen wast.
We hebben deze collectie ontworpen om daar voorgoed een einde aan te maken.
Tweeënveertig sculpturale kettingen, stuk voor stuk gemaakt van chirurgisch roestvrij staal van klasse 316L en moleculair verbonden met 18K-goud via PVD. Die specificatie is precies waar het om draait. Daardoor kun je het opvallendste sieraad uit je garderobe dragen tijdens een workout, onder de douche en een volledige werkdag, zonder er voorzichtig mee om te hoeven gaan en zonder de irritatie waardoor de meeste opvallende sieraden achter in een la belanden.
Dit zijn sieraden die ontworpen zijn om de aandacht te trekken. Oversized schakels, lichtgevende hangers, gekweekte parels en natuurlijk parelmoer tegen spiegelgepolijst goud. Draag er een over een eenvoudig wit T-shirt en je outfit verandert volledig. Draag het op kantoor onder een kraag of over een avondjurk, en het doet net zo goed zijn werk.
Drama op luxueuze schaal, ontworpen voor dagelijks gebruik, voor een prijs waarmee je een hele sieradengarderobe kunt opbouwen in plaats van te sparen voor één stuk.
Maat en pasvorm
Kettingen & halskettingen
Bekijk het afzonderlijke product voor de exacte lengte en om te zien of het een verlengkettinkje bevat. De meeste sieraden in deze collectie zijn verstelbaar van 16 tot 18 inch, wat geschikt is voor de meeste halslijnen.
Om de juiste pasvorm te vinden, meet u een ketting die u al comfortabel draagt, of wikkelt u een zacht meetlint om uw hals en telt u 2 tot 4 inch op, afhankelijk van waar u het sieraad wilt laten vallen.
16 inch valt dicht langs de halsbasis, als een choker of kraagvormige drapering.
18 inch valt op het sleutelbeen. Dit is de meest veelzijdige lengte en de lengte waarop de meeste van deze sieraden zijn gebaseerd.
20 inch valt net onder het sleutelbeen en kan mooi over een kortere ketting worden gedragen.
Verstelbare verlengkettinkjes
Wanneer bij een sieraad een verstelbaar bereik wordt vermeld, bevat het een ingebouwd verlengkettinkje, zodat u tussen verschillende lengtes kunt wisselen zonder een tweede halsketting te kopen. Een opvallend sieraad hoeft niet strak te zitten.
Laagjes creëren
Statement-sieraden komen het best tot hun recht met minstens 2 inch tussen de kettingen, zodat elk sieraad duidelijk zichtbaar blijft. Een ketting van 16 inch en een van 20 inch geven samen voldoende ruimte zonder in de knoop te raken.

Eerlijk antwoord: dit is geen massief goud, en we zullen u nooit vertellen dat het dat wel is. Elk sieraad is gemaakt van 316L chirurgisch roestvrij staal met een 18K gouden PVD-afwerking, en die specificatie is bewust gekozen.
PVD staat voor Physical Vapor Deposition. In plaats van een dun laagje goud op het metaal te laten rusten, zoals bij standaard galvaniseren, bindt PVD het goud op moleculair niveau aan het oppervlak. Daarom gedraagt het zich volledig anders dan modejuwelen waarvan de kleur vervaagt.
Deze sieraden zijn waterbestendig, bestand tegen zweet en aanslag. Draag ze onder de douche, in de sportschool of tijdens een volledige werkdag. De afwerking is gemaakt om lang mooi te blijven. Daarom zou een sieraad van massief goud met deze visuele omvang enkele duizenden euro’s kosten, terwijl dit sieraad dat niet doet.
Dit is precies het probleem waarvoor 316L is ontwikkeld. Het is dezelfde staalsoort die wordt gebruikt voor chirurgische implantaten. Dat het veilig is voor de huid, komt door de structuur en niet door een coating.
In goedkoop messing en onbekende legeringen zit nikkel los en komt het vrij wanneer het in contact komt met zweet. Die reactie zorgt ervoor dat de huid groen verkleurt en huiduitslag ontstaat. In 316L zit het nikkel opgesloten in het staalrooster en komt het bij normaal dragen niet vrij.
Het resultaat is een sieraad dat je twaalf uur lang kunt dragen, ook in hitte en bij transpiratie, zonder irritatie. We omschrijven het als hypoallergeen en nikkelveilig, en dat is accuraat. We zullen niet beweren dat het voor iedereen volledig allergievrij is, omdat geen enkel materiaal dat kan garanderen.
Sommige wel, sommige niet, en op elke productpagina staat vermeld welke.
Bij verschillende sieraden worden echte zoetwaterparels gebruikt, gekweekt of natuurlijk. Elk exemplaar vertoont kleine variaties in vorm, oppervlak en glans, omdat het is gegroeid in plaats van gemaakt. Andere sieraden gebruiken imitatieparels, die zijn vervaardigd voor een gelijkmatige afwerking en een lagere prijs. In de specificaties van het sieraad dat je bekijkt, worden beide duidelijk bij naam vermeld.
De sieraden van parelmoer zijn gemaakt van echt natuurlijk parelmoer, gesneden en gepolijst uit echte schelp. Wanneer een sieraad een heldere steen bevat, is dit A5-kubieke zirkonia; wij benoemen dit als een gesimuleerde diamant.

Visueel gewicht en fysiek gewicht zijn twee verschillende dingen, en deze collectie is ontworpen om ze van elkaar te scheiden.
De oversized sieraden maken gebruik van een constructie met holle schakels. Dat betekent dat de omvang die je aan de buitenkant ziet, niet overal uit massief metaal bestaat. Je krijgt alle sculpturale dramatiek, zonder de druk op je nek waardoor opvallende sieraden na een uur oncomfortabel worden.
Dit zijn sieraden die zijn ontworpen om de hele dag te dragen, niet om een avond lang mee te lopen en ze opgelucht af te doen.
De meeste sieraden in deze collectie zijn verstelbaar van 16 tot 18 inch dankzij een ingebouwd verlengkettinkje, zodat je de val precies kunt aanpassen aan de plek waar je die wilt hebben in plaats van genoegen te nemen met de lengte waarop het sieraad vanzelf valt.
Een lengte van 16 inch valt nauw om de halsbasis. Een lengte van 18 inch valt op het sleutelbeen: de meest veelzijdige positie, waarop de meeste van deze ontwerpen zijn afgestemd. Sommige sieraden zijn ook verkrijgbaar in 20 inch voor een lagere val die zich goed laat combineren met andere kettingen.
Op elke productpagina staat de exacte lengte vermeld, evenals of een verlengkettinkje is inbegrepen. Bekijk het gedeelte Maat en pasvorm van het sieraad dat je bekijkt. Bevalt het niet wanneer het aankomt, dan ben je gedekt door ons retourbeleid.
